Eligibility Criteria

For applicants to be considered for the Qatar University Scholarships, they must meet the following requirements:

• Any student from anywhere in the world can apply.
• For both internal and external scholarships, applicants must meet the standards for admission and send in an approved transcript from high school.
• H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s Scholarships for Academic Excellence requires a Qatar Secondary Education Certificate and a minimum average of 95% on the secondary school certificate. There are only scholarships for the Fall term.
• Applicants for the Outstanding Performance Scholarship must be enrolled at Qatar University, have a GPA of at least 3.50 out of 4.00, and have taken at least 30 class hours at QU. The person with the best overall GPA will be chosen.
