PMDC Announces MDCAT Examination Date: On Sunday, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) issued a verdict on the national medical and dental college admission test (MDCAT). The council, led by President Dr. Rizwan Taj, met for the second time to discuss a variety of subjects, including the MDCAT and other related issues.
The MDCAT examinations were planned for August 27, 2023, using the same syllabus as the previous year.
The council directed all provincial secretaries to begin MDCAT preparations in the pupils’ best interests. To maintain the examinations’ confidentially, the board promised to include all parties prior to the test.
Last year, roughly 204,259 students took the exams, while this year’s assessment estimates that approximately 210,000 students will take the exams. The council emphasized the need of considering the difficulty of the MDCAT exam in order to help students while retaining the integrity of the merit-based system.

The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) was given responsibility for admissions to all medical and dental institutes under the administration of the armed services. NUMS’s admission test would be considered equivalent to the national MDCAT.
