Only residents of New Jersey are eligible for this position.
Chinese language teachers are needed immediately by Koo Chinese Academy (KooChinese.com) to instruct K–9 pupils in Mandarin and Chinese cultures. The instruction will take place in person at our facility in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
We provide our staff with excellent salaries, bonuses, and sponsorship for H1B and OPT visas.
Adaptable work schedules:
During School-year
- Saturdays from 1 to 5:30 pm, or from 3 to 6:30 pm, from Monday through Friday.
- Candidates are free to select their own workdays.
- Additionally, candidates have the option of giving private sessions.
All of them are long-term employment possibilities with the potential to become full-time positions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Educate schoolchildren in Mandarin Chinese at after-school programs, on weekends, in summer camps, and/or in private classes.
- Develop the curriculum and lesson plans for the Chinese Language classes in collaboration with a team of instructors.
- Control schoolchildren’s after-school activities and/or summer camp activities
- Talk to students’ parents and other stakeholders
Qualifications
- possess self-motivation and the capacity for multitasking.
- Mandarin and Chinese Speakers
- with at least a bachelor’s degree
- Excellent team player, quick learner, and teacher with great spirit.
- having a warm, loving, and enjoyable time around kids
- It is a huge benefit if you have prior classroom teaching experience with Chinese.
- A college degree in language or education is a major plus.
