The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of firearms and armor, with headquarters and flagship exhibits at Leeds, the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
A Communications Officer is needed to join our Marketing & Communications team. The selected applicant will report to the Communications Manager and will be vital to our ambitious goals of improving audience engagement across a range of communication mediums.
We’re searching for skilled communicators to join a fast-paced company that generates millions of impressions each year. We’re on a mission to increase traffic while simultaneously broadening our reach and reputation. This position is crucial in supporting us in encouraging a broad range of people to learn more about our collection of weapons and armor, as well as the history of human endeavor related to our artifacts.
The chosen candidate will have great copywriting skills as well as expertise in growing audiences organically through social media. They must have past experience working in a communications team, as well as the ability to evaluate data and create compelling digital content.
Working 36 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with some weekend and evening work. The job will be a hybrid, needing both home and office work from our Leeds Museum.
