Senior Informatics jobs in US at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is looking for a qualified Senior Informatics Analyst to join our imaging informatics team. As a Senior Informatics Analyst, you will be part of a team that provides service and support for imaging-related computer systems throughout the institution. The role analyzes, implements, and maintains medical imaging, computer-based systems, and applications. Uses technical knowledge to provide ongoing support. Must have a technical mind, attention to detail, and the ability to describe technical information in simple terms while maintaining a friendly customer service demeanor.
Although no prior experience in imaging is required, prior experience in healthcare application support is strongly preferred.
This is a hybrid remote role in which the ideal candidate will work both remotely and onsite once a week. You must live within 50 miles of your assigned CCHMC location and in states where CCHMC has a business presence. Those states are currently Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Obligations
Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve departmental and institutional imaging system issue requests. Keep an issue log and a troubleshooting guide handy. Document problem resolution and give users advice on how to avoid repeating errors. Issues should be escalated to management with potential solutions. Analyze imaging workflows, data collection, report specifics, and other technical issues. Collaborate with departments to determine reporting requirements. Use available methods to monitor systems as needed. Find new ways to make processes, workflows, and software more efficient.
Install, configure, update, test, validate, and provide ongoing support for moderately complex imaging-related systems. Coordinate software updates and modifications. Ensure that data flowing through system interfaces meets business requirements. Create and prepare basic scripts to help with system support and maintenance.
Consult with colleagues within the department to determine system requirements. Assess and comprehend the long-term consequences of system and technology changes. Examine current systems for quality and efficiency. Business processes, technical requirements, imaging, and data workflows should all be documented. Create user documentation and training materials by designing, writing, and preparing them. Contribute to the creation of training standards and objectives. As needed, assist with and conduct training.
Manage medical imaging projects that are moderately complex. Create and maintain project plans to ensure that projects are completed on time. Establish project task objectives, milestones, and priorities.
Act as a go-between for users, information services, and vendors.
Eligibility
Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related job discipline is required.
- DICOM, HL7 experience is preferred, as is CIIP, CRES, or PACS Administrator certification.
- Strong understanding of computer and information technology concepts
