Financial Benefits of Mexico Government Scholarship
The Mexico Government Scholarship 2023 is a scholarship program for international students that is fully funded. All of the costs of going to school in Mexico will be covered by the scholarship. Here are the details of the costs that will be covered:
- Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree mobility grants.
- Research stays at the Master’s level, a monthly amount for maintenance of 4 (four) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), which is currently $12,614.80 monthly Mexican pesos. The law says that changes can be made to the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA). (Child support given a month in arrears).
- For Ph.D. scholarships: Doctoral Research Stays and Postdoctoral, Medical Specialties, and Subspecialties, a monthly maintenance amount of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), which is equal to $15,768.50 in Mexican pesos today. The law says that changes can be made to the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA). (Child support given a month in arrears).
- Enrollment and tuition fees are based on the rules of each Mexican educational institution’s program and the institution’s final decision, which is stated in the acceptance letter.
- Medical insurance through the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), which will be active starting in the seventh month of the scholarship and last for the same amount of time as the scholarship. When it comes to Private Institutions, AMEXCID will be in charge of managing this. When it comes to public universities, it will be directly with that Higher Education Institution.
- Not having to pay for getting a Mexican visa.
- If the grant is completed well, the recipient will be able to fly internationally. The ticket will be given in tourist class and will be based on the route of the trip.

Documents Required
- Form for applying for a scholarship, properly filled out and signed.
- Letter explaining the reasons why you want to study or do research in Mexico. (Maximum of 2 pages, letter Arial size 12, single space between lines).
- Curriculum vitae. (Maximum of 3 pages, single line space, and Arial font size 12).
- Letter of acceptance from the Mexican institution or response from the HEI to the application for admission (see the “Requirements” part of the acceptance letter).
- The letter that says you promise to go back to your home country.
- Acceptance of the Call’s terms in writing.
- The birth certificate copy.
- Copy of the valid passport in color and open book style, or photo ID from the government.
- Copy of the medical certificate showing that the applicant is in good health, given by a public or private health institution no more than three months before the application is turned in.
- If Spanish is not the applicant’s first language, he or she must submit a copy of proof of advanced knowledge of the Spanish language from a university or educational center that guarantees a minimum level of B2 on the European Common Reference Framework.
- Letter in which the application swears to tell the truth and says that the information given is correct.
- All forms and papers must be written in Spanish or come with Spanish translations.

In Mexico, people who want to apply for a Mexico Government Scholarship 2023 can do so through an online application portal. To apply for a grant, please follow the steps below:
- Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA) is where you can apply online: https://sigca.sre.gob.mx.
- The entry forms must be filled out in Spanish.
- The SIGCA site will be open from May 15, at 6 p.m., until July 21, at 11:59 p.m., Central Mexico time, to accept applications. To do this, you must include the paperwork that is required by the System and the grant you want.
